Cuatro suma cuatro cuadrados, 2026
Installation, printed paper and colored light gels
Size: 36 ft × 12 ft
This work is a reinterpretation of Alberto’s painting Four Sum Four Squares. I photographed the painting and used the original 4 × 4 ft image as a module, repeating it to match the dimensions of the wall (36 × 12 ft) and form a large-scale pattern. The painting is composed of four squares, and I extended this logic by subdividing each module into four parts. Each segment is processed with a digital halftone filter, a printing method that translates tonal values into fields of dots, while some areas remain unfiltered.
